The Next Chapter - September 2013 Update

Hello To All Our Friends And Followers,

There’s a lot of interesting things going on in the Decoys camp these day and I figured some of you might be interested in what we’ve been up to. We’re certainly at a place in our band where we feel a new chapter has started and we’re really looking forward to the future.

The first thing we should mention though is a pretty big change. Our brother, friend and lead guitarist Jarrett Boyetchko is parting ways with the group. There’s no big drama here, we’re big believers in following the muse when it presents itself and unfortunately the band and Jarrett are heading in different directions creatively. But we look forward to seeing all the success that he has outside of the band and you should all do yourself a favor, if you haven’t already, and check out his band “The Fineprint”. “Like” there page here:

We plan, at this point, on continuing the band as a 3-piece. Our first show as a trio will be this Sunday at The Dirty Jersey in Kamloops, BC. Make sure to come down and check us out as well as Calgary’s Matt Blais.

The band has no plans of slowing down over the next few months. After several months of building, our new studio/rehearsal space, it is ready to go. We are currently in pre-production mode for a new album and we currently have about 10 songs that are ready to be recorded. We’ll be working with the great and talented Kris Ruston as a producer and engineer.

We’ll be posting lots of pictures and video on our Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube, so make sure to follow us on those sites (The links are below).

We look forward to everyone hearing what we’ve been up to!

Matt, Sean and Will
