July 2013 Update

Hello All!

We just wanted to take a second to update everyone on the latest in the Decoys camp.

STUDIO
----------
We've been hard at work building our new rehearsal space and recording studio and we're very close to getting in there and recording our new songs. We're very excited about the new material we've been working up, so far we have about 10 songs and there's plenty more on the horizon. We'll be playing some of the new songs at our upcoming shows, so make sure not to miss 'em!

Vote MSATD As Canada's Best New Artist!

Matt Stanley And The Decoys are currently in the running to be named Canada's Best New Artist from CBC Radio West and It would mean a lot to the band if you voted for us. Round one of audience voting is underway right now and the grand prize winner gets $20,000 worth of gear from Yamaha Canada, an audio-video session with CBC music and a high profile gig at a music showcase in Toronto. The shortlist will be announced on February 25th so vote everyday until then!

Update - June 18th, 2012

After a few weeks off and some ups and downs, The Decoys are heading back to the rehearsal space this week to begin writing new material. Stay tuned over the next little while as we post update, photos, and videos!

"The Attic Sessions"

On November 1st, 2011, Matt Stanley and The Decoys got together to rehearse and film some of the performances for their website. Unfortunately the keys to the jam space were missing and the band was locked out. So instead they went to the attic of drummer Sean Poissant's house and had an acoustic rehearsal. The result was "The Attic Sessions". Here is that footage:
